It's a Wonderful Day...
"Sing with us, it's a beautiful day...", was what RTB said this morning. Praise God that the rain had passed from yesterday. This morning coffee was made, food was packed, and more ice was placed into coolers. Everyone was ready to begin day two of Reach the Beach 2011.
The 3:16 Puppet Team made a showing this morning. The puppets performed a Back to School skit which encouraged one character to go to the Lord in prayer about the anxieties of school, as the start of school is fast approaching. Pastor Tim, from First Congregational Church of Revere, made a cameo apperance to help lead the main character in prayer.
Later in the day, the Diversion Drama Team performed a few skits about the life of teens today. These skits included examples of what teens face and go through in today's culture. Ultimately the skits demonstrated teens being led to Christ.
The weather was good today for a game of kickball with the Youth. Pastor Tim was there leading them in the fun. They will be there the rest of the week from 3-6pm in the afternoon playing various games on the beach.
One part of RTB is reaching out to the Homeless Community at Revere Beach. And today RTB was blessed with the donation of multiple bags full of MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) to handout to the Homeless. The meals are wonderful; just add water, and a chemical reaction takes place that heats up the food.
Later tonight someone gave their life to Christ. Praise God! RTB serves Revere Beach to reach out to those who are in need: physical needs and spiritual needs. RTB gives thanks to God for the blessings that He has brought to RTB 2011. Please continue to keep this ministry in prayer.
