Reach the Beach 2011

Reach the Beach 2011 was a success! Monday through Friday we had an amazing line up of artists. There was the Supreme Court Jesters, Diversion Drama Team, Bridgton Alliance Worship Team, 3:16 Puppet Team, and more. There were also many fellow, non-profit organizations who joined us at the tables by the bandstand. Among those organizations were the Christian Motorcycle Association - Dedham Chapter, North Shore Christian School and others. Saturday was our wrap up Concert Rally featuring: Tom Conlon, Maeve, The Wrecking, DJ Tripple Threat, Bobby Bishop, and more. Check back with the News page for a full update on Saturday's events.
Last year at Reach the Beach 2010
There was drama, music, juggling, and singing all to bring glory to the Lord! And the concert was enjoyed by many on a beautiful day. Check back for highlights of the concert soon.
Just in case you never heard of us, Reach the Beach will be a weeklong attempt to spread the Good News. Beginning on the third week of August. We will have a weeklong outreach at Revere Beach, Revere Massachusetts. We are at the beach all week long witnessing, handing out tracts, singing, performing, and inviting people to our grand finale on Saturday at 12pm at the bandstand for a time of worship, prayer and the proclamation of the gospel.
On Saturday the road will be blocked providing a huge area that will accommodate all the people we can invite and encourage to come!
In the Bible, Mark 16:15 says, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” The City of Revere has 47 different languages in it Public school system, and the Boston area has seen a great influx of Immigrants these last few years. The one thing all these people groups have in common is on a hot summer’s day they all go to the beach. I can’t think of a better way to go into all the world, then to be at the beach spreading the word.
How to Help
Prayer
We need prayer! “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1) Please pray for the planning stages of this event as we deal with local and state authorities, for the musicians, for the people who volunteer, for financial support and for good weather. However, most of all, pray for the week itself. Our goal for the week is to reach as many people as possible, sharing the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through word and deed. Pray for receptive hearts! Please become part of our prayer network and receive specific prayer requests by email.
